Evaluation & Reporting Lead


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Evaluation and Reporting Lead to provide leadership across assessment, evaluation, reporting, and learning insights. This permanent full-time role can be based flexibly within New Zealand, with options to work from Christchurch or Auckland.

THE ROLE / TE MAHI

Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Pedagogy and Curriculum, you will lead the development and implementation of schoolwide evaluation and reporting frameworks that strengthen teaching practice, support student achievement, and drive continuous improvement. Working closely with leaders, teachers, Digital & IT, and administration teams, you will ensure high-quality data and evidence are translated into meaningful insights that improve outcomes for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.

You will oversee assessment and reporting processes, analyse and interpret student achievement data, support targeted interventions, and build staff capability in data literacy, assessment for learning, and evidence-based decision-making. You will also play a key role in ensuring reporting practices are accessible, culturally responsive, and aligned with curriculum expectations and effective deaf pedagogical practices.

ABOUT YOU MŌ KOE

The successful candidate will be a registered teacher or experienced education professional with strong expertise in assessment, data analysis, evaluation, and reporting leadership. You will bring excellent analytical and communication skills, experience leading change and professional learning, and confidence working with digital systems and reporting platforms.
