THE ROLE / TE MAHI

As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for the optimisation and management of our IT infrastructure and operations. This role involves developing technical strategies, overseeing daily IT operations, managing technical projects and ensuring adherence to industry standards and cybersecurity best practices. You will lead a talented team, foster a collaborative culture and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is a national role based in Christchurch and will require occasional travel.

YOU WILL / KA MAHI KOE

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical operations with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement long-term IT infrastructure improvement plans.
  • Lead technical projects using change management and project management methodologies.
  • Ensure system reliability, security and efficiency.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage procurement of IT tools and services.
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
YOU WILL HAVE / KEI A KOE
  • IT tertiary qualification (Level 7 or higher) in IT or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior IT leadership role with a proven track record.
  • Strong commercial management and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud platforms and network operations.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships.
  • Proficiency in NZ Sign Language (or a commitment to learn).
