NZSL Services Project Support Lead
Are you passionate about inclusive education and project delivery? Do you have a strong background in education, workforce planning, and service optimisation? We’re looking for a dynamic and organised Project Support Lead to join our New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) Service Team for a fixed-term opportunity.
THE ROLE / TE MAHI
As the NZSL Services Project Support Lead, you will work closely with the NZSL Services Manager (Acting) to lead and support key projects that align service delivery with strategic resourcing goals. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing project plans that include timelines, budgets, consultation processes, and evaluation frameworks. Your work will directly contribute to improving infrastructure, resources and workforce design across NZSL services. This is a fulltime, fixed term role (October 2025-December 2025) and is based in Sumner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver strategic project plans to improve NZSL services, infrastructure, and resource optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with education standards and employment best practices while refining project processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and foster a collaborative team culture.
- Document project progress and use organisational systems to support efficient and collegial work practices.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION / NGĀ HERENGA MŌ TE MAHI
- A Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Education or a related field.
- Strong IT and communication skills, with a commitment to clear and effective engagement.
- An understanding of Deaf culture and NZSL proficient or a genuine commitment to learning New Zealand Sign Language.
- A current and clean driver’s licence, with flexibility to travel nationally as needed.
