ABOUT US 
At Ko Taku Reo we work to nurture the social and emotional wellbeing of New Zealand’s Deaf and hard of hearing children and help them form their own identity; as well as providing support and resources to help them reach their academic potential. You will be joining a nationwide team and you will share their passion and enthusiasm for delivering high quality education and services to Deaf and hard of hearing students and their whanau we support. 

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a NZSL Tutor who is passionate about empowering teams and ways to develop local capacities and looking for an opportunity to step up.  You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality one-on-one teaching of NZSL and Deaf cultural responsiveness programmes to Deaf students, their whanāu and team members. You will work alongside the NZSL Tutor Practice Co-ordinator and the NZSL Tutor Co-Lead – South to help grow and strengthen the team’s capabilities to develop DHH children’s NZSL and Deaf bilingual skills.   

This is a permanent fulltime (0.4 Tutor and 0.6 Co-Lead) position based in the North Island.  You will be an enthusiastic, problem-solving tutor who can work creatively and collaboratively across a range of contexts from Early Primary to Secondary across Aotearoa.
