THE ROLE / TE MAHI

We are seeking an organised and proactive Property & Asset Operations Coordinator to join our Corporate Services Team. Reporting to the Property & Asset Lead, this role is responsible for coordinating property, asset and fleet operations across our national organisation. You'll play a key role in ensuring our buildings, vehicles, equipment and assets are well-managed, compliant, secure and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating property and asset-related suppliers, service providers and contracts.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of long-term property planning.
  • Managing leased and owned vehicle fleet administration, systems and reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate asset records, documentation and reporting.
  • Supporting the maintenance, security and accessibility of buildings and facilities.
  • Monitoring property and asset systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Ministry of Education requirements.
  • Providing operational support and expert guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and service delivery.

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position based in either Auckland or Christchurch offering the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of learners and whānau throughout New Zealand.

ABOUT YOU / MŌ KOE

You are a highly organised coordinator with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering quality operational support. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in property, asset or facilities administration and coordination.
  • Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills.
  • Experience maintaining systems, records and reporting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence working with databases, spreadsheets and reporting systems.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a changing environment.
