Senior Administrator - Digital & IT
ABOUT US / MŌ MĀTOU
Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education New Zealand is the national provider of education services to New Zealand’s Deaf and hard of hearing children. At Ko Taku Reo we work to nurture the social and emotional wellbeing of New Zealand’s Deaf and hard of hearing children. We assist them to form their own identity, as well as providing support and resources to help them to Grow, Excel, Choose and Belong.
THE ROLE / TE MAHI
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Administrator - Digital & IT (fulltime and fixed term for one year) to provide essential operational and coordination support across our Digital & IT function. This role ensures systems, processes, and workflows run smoothly, enabling technical and leadership teams to focus on delivery and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Digital & IT governance processes, including tracking actions, decisions and change requests
- Coordinate project and operational workflows, including task tracking and progress updates
- Maintain accurate documentation, SharePoint sites and digital information systems
- Support service desk and workflow management, escalating issues where required
- Assist with IT asset management, procurement and vendor coordination
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, events and general administrative support
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes and team efficiency
ABOUT YOU / MŌ KOE
You are a highly organised and proactive administrator with experience in coordination, operations, or support roles. You are confident managing multiple priorities and working across systems in a fast-paced environment.
You bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams. You are comfortable using Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel) and take a structured, solutions-focused approach to your work.
You will be experienced in developing collaborative relationships with a broad range of people. An affinity with and understanding of Deaf culture and NZSL proficiency would be preferred as strong communication skills will be essential to this role.
